Activity Log
The Activity Log records all significant admin actions taken on your instance. Go to Admin → Activity Log.
What's logged

Each entry shows:
- Action — colour-coded badge (e.g. COMMS_SENT, LOGIN, STUDENT_CREATED)
- Detail — a plain-English description of what happened
- Actor — the email address of the user who performed the action
- Timestamp — date and time
Who can view it
Admin users only. Instructors do not have access to the Activity Log.
Retention
The 200 most recent entries are shown. The log is stored indefinitely in your database and is included in the Data Export.
tip
Use the Activity Log to audit unexpected changes — for example, if a student's grade or contact details were altered, the log shows which user made the change and when.
