Creating a plan

  1. Go to Admin → Lesson Planner
  2. Select a class from the accordion list — each class shows the student type, day, time, and number of enrolled students
  3. Tap New Plan — a 4-week block is created with today's date as Week 1
  4. For each week, assign techniques from the curriculum (automatically filtered to the grades present in that class)
  5. Assign teaching roles to each technique (see below)
  6. Tap Save Plan

Technique assignment

Techniques shown in the planner are filtered to only those relevant to the grades of students enrolled in that class — you won't see techniques from grades that no one in the class is working towards.

Each technique row shows the grade it belongs to as a coloured sash pill.

Snakes & Cranes classes are limited to a maximum of 2 technique types per session. All other class types allow up to 3.

Staff roles

Every technique in the plan can be assigned to one or more staff members:

RoleColourMeaning
SifuRedLeads this technique — the senior instructor
CoachNavyCoaches this technique
LeaderWhite (outlined)Supports the Coach or Sifu for this technique

Tap a staff member's pill to toggle their assignment. Staff are drawn from the class's staff assignments — only instructors assigned to that class appear.

By Teacher view

Switch to By Teacher to see the plan grouped by staff member rather than by technique. This is useful for briefing your team before class:

  • Sifu's techniques are listed under their name
  • Coaches own the non-Sifu techniques they are assigned to
  • Leaders appear as "With:" pills supporting a Sifu or Coach group

Week dates

Each week has a date picker. Week 1 defaults to today; Weeks 2–4 default to +7, +14, and +21 days. Dates are editable — adjust them to match your actual class schedule.

Saving plans

Tap Save Plan to write all four weeks and all role assignments to the database in one step. All assignments are buffered locally until you save — navigating away without saving will lose changes.

Multiple plans can be saved per class. Previously saved plans appear in the class accordion — tap one to reopen and edit it.

Printing

Tap Print to produce a clean printable layout:

  • A5 format — 2 weeks side-by-side on A4 landscape. Good for a single sheet on the mat.
  • A4 format — 1 week per portrait A4 page. Better for detailed plans with many techniques.
